Dreams of Dawn
Come take a musical journey this Spring with Tahoe Symphony Orchestra! Conducted by Artistic Director candidate finalist, Maestro Jason Altieri, Dreams of Dawn, will take you to new heights featuring four remarkable works. Beethoven's Symphony No. 1 balances classical elegance with bold innovation, while Ola Gjeilo's Dreamweaver, a 2023 choral-orchestral work, draws inspiration from Norwegian folklore. Mozart's Impresario Overture brings wit and charm, playfully parodying the vanity of singers. The program also includes Susan Spain-Dunk's Cantilena for Clarinet & Orchestra, a technically brilliant and emotive work that continues to captivate audiences nearly a century after its premiere.
